FIRST-PARTY DATA / GOOGLE ANALYTICS 4 + WHITEBOXX AI
Investigate changes
in digital performance.
Use GA4 reports to compare channels, devices and business events, then focus the growth team’s next investigation.
THE ANALYTICAL TASK
What changed in the reported performance?
A change may reflect a landing page, a different acquisition mix or new tracking. Establish the measured difference before choosing which explanation to investigate.
Select the property, dates, dimensions and metrics. Existing code calls the Analytics Data API runReport endpoint and converts the returned data into evidence records. Provide both periods for a comparison.
THE OUTPUT
A performance review with the next checks identified.
The review shows the change, reporting definitions and next checks. Include tagging or consent changes when they affect what was measured.
INPUTS AND DEFINITIONS
Agree the property, events and reporting period.
| Input or measure | What to establish |
|---|---|
| Traffic comparison | Use consistent channel and device dimensions. |
| Business event | Name the event, counting basis and relevant definition changes. |
| Report context | Record date ranges and material measurement limitations. |
CONNECTOR BUILDING BLOCKS
Connect and reconcile the GA4 report.
We configure the property, check metric compatibility and reconcile the report. The connector reads reporting data; tag installation and event setup are separate work.
Attribution and tracking coverage affect interpretation. A channel correlation does not establish incremental impact, and campaign or site changes need their own delivery process.
PILOT ACCEPTANCE
How should you evaluate a Google Analytics 4 integration?
| Check | Evidence to review |
|---|---|
| Reconcile the property report | Use the selected property, date range, dimensions, metrics and reporting timezone. Compare returned totals with an accepted GA4 report. |
| Check the measurement basis | Document the business-event definition and any changes in instrumentation or acquisition mix before attributing a performance movement. |
| Separate traffic from outcomes | Show the relationship between channel or device differences and the agreed business event. Use further experiments or operating data to investigate why it changed. |
PLANNING THE IMPLEMENTATION
Is this a ready-to-use Google Analytics 4 connection?
Whiteboxx has connector building blocks for Google Analytics 4, which must be configured and validated for the selected tenant, source objects and analytical task. The project still needs result reconciliation and any additional application, historical-data or delivery work described above.
