GLOBAL DATA / GEOGRAPHIC COVERAGE
Data coverage in
248 countries and territories.
Choose a country or territory to see the number of sources covering it. Availability still depends on the measure, period and level of local detail you need.
What does coverage in 248 countries and territories mean?
The 248-country and territory footprint is based on stored Overture geographic coverage. A country can appear in that footprint without having every statistical indicator, business record or local measure needed for an application. The official-statistics subset covers 84 countries and territories in the published snapshot.
For a market shortlist, first identify the required countries, product category, reporting period and geographic level. Then check the sources that can answer that question in each place. A higher source count describes breadth; it does not establish a larger market, a better site or a more reliable forecast.

The 248-country footprint includes stored global Overture coverage. Source counts combine explicit stored and declared geographic scope, counting each named source once. Depth varies by source, measure and period. Generalised map boundaries may omit smaller territories; the list is the coverage reference.
GEOGRAPHIC RESOLUTION
Check the level of detail your analysis needs.
| Level | A question it can inform | What must be checked |
|---|---|---|
| Country | How do national economic indicators compare? | The indicator definition and common period. |
| Region or local authority | How do employment or business measures vary within a country? | Supported boundaries, classifications and available measures. |
| Place or site | Which businesses or facilities are recorded around a location? | Source release, category coverage and the proposed analysis area. |
COUNTING THE MAP
How to read the map.
The 248-country and territory footprint includes stored Overture geographic data. Darker shading means more named sources cover that country; each source is counted once.
Coverage varies by measure and period. The country list also includes small territories that the map’s simplified boundaries may omit.
Can I compare any two countries directly?
Compare countries only after checking that the measure, units, period and population are compatible. A national annual total and a city-level monthly series answer different questions. Keep unavailable observations visible instead of treating them as zero or filling the gap with an unrelated source.
