EVIDENCE OS / WORKFLOWS
Workflows that connect
agents, data and applications.
Define the steps, inputs and outputs of a repeatable process. Evidence OS records each run; custom engineering adds the business-specific logic, interfaces and system handoffs your application requires.

HOW WORKFLOWS WORK
What is AI workflow automation?
AI workflow automation connects model-assisted or agent tasks with the other steps in a business process. A workflow defines the sequence and outputs; execution agents perform selected analytical work. Application code handles the business rules, interfaces and system operations around those steps.
Evidence OS stores workflow definitions and records the inputs, progress and results of each run. Whiteboxx builds the additional workflow steps, specialist calculations and integrations needed for the enterprise application.
EXAMPLE / A SECTOR REVIEW
A sector review: the process and each run.
| Workflow definition | Run-specific input or output |
|---|---|
| The sector and approved company set. | The companies and reporting periods supplied to this run. |
| The source and analytical steps. | The returned evidence, failed steps and unresolved inputs. |
| The requested brief structure. | The dated findings and deliverable references. |
| Review and completion rules. | The current run’s progress and recorded outcome. |
THREE DIFFERENT CHANGES
Three ways to adapt a workflow.
Run it again
Use the same steps with a new set of inputs, such as a later reporting period.
Reusing a workflow 02Change the steps
Add a review stage, change the participants or revise the output.
Adapting a workflow 03Connect another system
Build the connection or screen needed to move the result into your business process.
Workflow integrationREUSABLE DEFINITIONS
Reuse the parts of the process that stay consistent.
For a regional review, keep the measure definitions and comparison table, then supply the next period or a different country set. The run history shows the inputs behind each result.
REMIXED DEFINITIONS
Keep a record when the process changes.
Adding a review stage or changing the report format creates a new version of the workflow. Test that version against representative examples and retain the history of earlier runs.
CUSTOM WORKFLOWS
Fit the workflow to the application.
A client-reporting process may need account selection, calculations, draft preparation, review and delivery. Some steps can reuse platform services; others need customer-specific software. Define those responsibilities before implementing the workflow.
The project also establishes how the application handles missing inputs, failed integrations and changes to an earlier result. These behaviours are part of the delivered process.

Which steps need an agent, and which need software rules?
| Step | Implementation | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Calculate a defined total | A calculation with an agreed definition. | Sum contracted recurring revenue at the selected cutoff. |
| Investigate an analytical question | An execution agent with the relevant data and tools. | Compare account movements and identify records for further review. |
| Coordinate the process | A workflow definition and a recorded run. | Prepare the inputs, run the analysis and collect the outputs. |
| Complete an application action | Custom integration and explicit business logic. | Send an accepted result to the correct account record in another system. |
